Change all skills and traits that benefit the Ranger to also benefit the pet, no "sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't". Merged player and pet health pool, with cleave and AoE only able to hit one or the other, not both. If you want to be really annoying in PvP, take Wolf and Pink Moa. You can chain CC people while in downed state for lulz and they also synergize quite well with each other. Best pets: Jaguar, Jungle Spider, River Drake, Wolf, Krytan Drake Hound, Raven, Pink Moa, Siamoth.*. Jellyfish or drakes for anything underwater. I am happy about the new engi spec but if their "Pet" will get the premium treatment over the actual "pet class" mechanic I will rant about it for the next 5 years. Posted August 6, 2022 (edited) -This is not only a big improvement in quality of life for rangers, its also a huge buff for the Untamed spec. -Now the pets will rotate their base skills while unleashed and will not be limited to AA only. -The Active F1-F3 while pet is unleashed are the Ranger's skills and not pet skills. Pets are not related to ranger specializations but to the mechanic of the profession, so rangers are free to use SmokeScale or any other xpac pet without restrictions.The fact that new pets are on xpac maps is also a Anet's way to encourage players to buy game expansions and get new things.They could easily use griffons or other creatures in My Ranger's pets (and just about all my sylvari as well) are all named after guild wars 1 bosses. Examples: My Ranger herself gets in on the My Sylvan hound is named Harth after Harth Mendbranch (monk Thorn stalker boss), which did because it's a plant boss and Sylvan hounds have the healing howl on f2 My Eagle is named Kunan after Kunan the 1Zad.
